HH FUND COO, Gary Chen, and CIO, Tony Shen were invited by the President of Morgan State University, Mr. David
Wilson to negotiate matters of collaboration.
David Wilson, Ed.D., the 12th president of Morgan State University, has a long record of accomplishment and more than 30 years of experience in higher education administration.
Dr. Wilson’s tenure as Morgan’s president, which began on July 1, 2010, has been characterized by great gains for the University. Among the many highlights: a second-year retention rate of 76 percent for the entering class of 2013, the highest rate in two decades and the fourth consecutive year that the rate has exceeded 70 percent; procurement of the university’s largest-ever research contract, a $28.5-million, five-year contract from NASA; new construction on campus valued at more than $271 million. President Wilson will continue to accelerate the expansion of Morgan State University in the coming years.
David Wilson expressed high recognition regarded to HH FUND’s management ability during the negotiation and decided to renew the contracts has been signed as well as add total 224 beds from Marble Hall Court 4 and 5 to next year’s lease, and it is expected to create about 5% more revenue on this project once the contract is signed. HH FUND sincerely appreciated Morgan State University and President Wilson’s recognition, and will keep working hard to provide better living environment and more benefits to students from Morgan State University.
President Wilson mentioned he has been to visit China many times, and he just came back from China before meeting HH FUND this time. Morgan State University has communicated with a number of Chinese Universities and built student exchange programs. HH is willing to provide any support by utilizing our recourses in China. Principal Wilson visited China for the first time in 1989, and was guided by Pu Yi’s brother. He truly loves China, and is looking forward to steadily building mid/long-term collaboration with HH FUND.
